I have OptusNet ADSL running a D-link Dl-302G ADSL modem but my new router is not working with the ADSL modem
OptusNet pre-configures their D-Link DL-302G ADSL Ethernet/USB modems disabling NAT services.
Contact your ISP to find out how to enable NAT services, then contact your router manufacturer for assistance in creating a 'Static IP' 'Internet Connection Type'.
